Rainbow Club lead teachers from all over NSW gathered at the Max Park Aquatic Centre in Revesby to learn about teaching safety techniques to children with a disability in preparation for Rainbow Club Safety Week in August 2019. Rainbow Club’s Swimming Co-ordinator Nicola Davies-Cooke conducted the training with twenty lead teachers in attendance.
Lead teachers will now deliver this information to swim teachers at each of their Clubs, to ensure safety messages are reinforced and then remembered by the children who receive Rainbow Club lessons.
Rainbow Club’s inaugural Safety Week will take place at each Club on the weekend of 24/25 August 2019.
