Rainbow Club Celebrates National Volunteer Week

Kelly Ford volunteers as Scheduler for Villawood Rainbow Club. Kelly works as a Teacher in special education. She is also mum to 5 beautiful children, two of whom are members of Villawood Rainbow Club. Her husband, who is a special education support worker, also volunteers at Rainbow Club as an Inpool Volunteer and is registered to do the next Train to Teach program once it is rescheduled. So for Kelly, Rainbow Club truly is a family experience.
Though Kelly is very busy with 5 children and working full-time, she immediately put her hand up to take on the Scheduler role when Villawood was in need. She couldn’t bare to think of what not having Rainbow Club would mean to not just her children but all Villawood Rainbow Club members. She feels that Rainbow Club not only provides children with water safety and happiness but also with a community and family environment.
