As a Rainbow Club Lead Teacher, with a few extra hours each week, you have a unique opportunity to really make a difference in the lives of children with a disability.
In addition to helping children with a disability learn to swim, a Lead Teacher plays a pivotal role at each Club by ensuring the Club operates smoothly. Reporting to the local Rainbow Club volunteer Committee, the Lead Teacher supervises other swim teachers employed at the Club, welcomes and assesses children’s ability when they join and as they progress through our unique Swim the Rainbow program. The Lead Teacher is also responsible for all safety matters around the pool and is paid an above award rate of $42.50 per hour.
