Rainbow Club Australia launched its NEW Rainbow Edge online learning platform in April 2022.
Rainbow Edge will give our teachers the edge when teaching children with a disability learn to swim.
Rainbow Edge will prepare teachers and volunteers for teaching children with a disability learn to swim. It will be in addition to the basic Swim Teacher licence.
Our initial three induction courses are:
- Swim Teacher induction
- Lead Teacher induction
- In Pool Volunteer induction
Rainbow Club Teachers, Lead/Assistant Lead Teachers and In Pool Volunteers will complete the relevant Induction courses in April 2022. Going forward these courses will by newly appointed teachers and volunteers before starting with Rainbow Club.
Rainbow Edge will ensure all of our Teachers and Inpool Volunteers receive consistent training and messaging regarding our programs, policies and procedures.
It gives teachers thorough understanding of our programs
- Swim the Rainbow 2.0
- Rainbow Squads
- Active Moves
The training programs were produced in consultation with Rainbow Club’s consultant Occupational Therapists. It provides valuable information on how to use visual supports and a host of other useful communication and teaching strategies.
