Be an inpool volunteer
Rainbow Club welcomes inpool volunteers to shadow our swim teachers and help deliver the lessons. Rainbow Clubs operate on weekends during the school term. Our lessons are individualised for children with a disability aged between 3 – 18 years and our unique Swim the Rainbow program is delivered by dedicated and qualified swim teachers.
If you would like to apply to be an inpool volunteer at a Rainbow Club, please check the locations and times your preferred Rainbow Club operates, and complete and submit the form below. You will receive a confirmation your form has been received and our local Club will contact you to arrange a visit and see Rainbow Club in action.
Eligibility: To be eligible to be an inpool volunteer you will need to be a competent swimmer, be prepared to assist in the pool as directed, be at least 14 years of age and be happy to take on other jobs around the pool deck as required. We will provide you with a volunteer rashie to wear while you are volunteering with Rainbow Club. You may also wish to See Rainbow Club’s Policy and Procedures
Working with children: If you are over 18 years of age you will need to have a Working with Children Check number which can be obtained free of charge. See Service NSW to apply.
NDIS Workers Check: As all of our volunteers will be working closely with NDIS participants, you are now required to apply for a NDISWC. This can be done free of charge. See Service NSW to apply
