Congratulations to Rainbow Club patron, Louise Sauvage who was elevated to Legend status at the Australian Institute Hall of Fame recently.
Louise won nine gold medals at Paralympic Games during her outstanding career and is the 41st Legend of Australian Sport and was the first Paralympian to be inducted as a member of the Sport Australia Hall of Fame in 2007.
“It’s fantastic to be honoured in this way” Louise said saying it was an important moment for para-sport athletes.
Louise is a terrific ambassador for Rainbow Club and for all children with a disability who are participating in sport. She has inspired many of Australia’s sports people with a disability and you can read more about her career in Australian sport here
