Rainbow Club Celebrates National Volunteer Week

James Sherlock

James has volunteered as Club Manager at Cherrybrook Rainbow Club for the last 8 years. James has a son who is a member at Rainbow Club and his daughter Amy is a teacher at the club.  Rainbow Club is definitely a family affair for James. Having a member, teacher and committee member all in the one family certainly gives James the best resources for truly understanding every aspect of how to be a great Club Manager.

As you will hear from James himself in his video, he truly values the 3 member committee he is part of at Cherrybrook and really sees the benefit of what a great committee can do when they work together.

“When James began as manager Rainbow Club Cherrybrook it had a very long waiting list.  James set about trying to reduce the waiting list and he very quickly succeeded by doubling the size of the Cherrybrook Club, not an easy task.  James negotiated an extra 2 hours with the pool management and with the Swim Teachers.  James can be very proud of the strong leadership he has exhibited as manager of the Cherrybrook Club.  Each and every week you will find James at the Club helping pack up the equipment at the end of the day.  James’s daughter Amy has joined the Teaching team at Cherrybrook and has quickly become an integral part of the team just like her dad”.   – Jackie Cole, Aquatics Manager
