Meet Matt Levy, Board Member of Rainbow Club and member of the Paralympic Swimming Team who is preparing for Tokyo.

Matt was born early, with cerebral palsy and impaired vision, and his parents thought swimming might help. Now he is preparing for his 5th Paralympic Games.

With just 4 months to go, Matt’s daily training routine is intensifying and involves 4 hours in the pool every day as well as hours maintaining general fitness.

He has done most of his training at the AIS in Canberra and has recently competed on the Gold Coast. He is now in Lewisville, Texas USA where the team are preparing for Paralympics with some competition and racing experience in the lead up to Tokyo.

Matt is not just a talented swimmer but is also author of “Keeping your Head Above Water” which you can purchase here to read all about life so far.

We will be following Matt’s journey to Tokyo here on the Rainbow Club website so check back for latest updates on his exciting journey.
