The Squads Carnival was another very successful event.
Everyone loved the new venue and we’d like to thank the staff from Pymble Ladies College for being so helpful and accommodating and also Bondi Icebergs for sponsoring the event. We would not have been able to have such a great event without their generosity.
We had an amazing 80 members participate in the carnival, representing 18 different clubs. We’d like to give a special shout out to the members traveling from Orange, Lithgow and Springwood for the day, it was lovely to have them be able to come and participate. Hurstville Rainbow Club took out the Ron Siddons Shield this carnival winning the relay event and the boys from Bexley won our famous teacher relay.
We had special guest and Rainbow Club Ambassador James Pittar help present our awards, along with Rainbow Club’s President of the board Alexandra Finley and Rainbow Club’s new CEO Phil Kinney.
Thank you to all the members and their families who were able to attend and participate. If you placed second or third you will receive your ribbons soon. We’d also like to thank all the teachers who were able to attend and help out, plus all the amazing volunteers and Squad Carnival committee for putting on another great carnival.
We look forward to our next carnival which will be held in November.
