Orange Rainbow Club teacher Shen has been appointed to the National Multicultural Community Advisory Group, becoming the only representative from regional New South Wales.
The appointment recognises Shen’s commitment to fostering inclusive communities and ensuring diverse voices are represented in conversations that help shape the future of multicultural Australia.
At Rainbow Club, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do, and we are incredibly proud to see one of our teachers recognised for making a difference beyond the pool.
For almost three years, Shen has been a valued member of the Orange Rainbow Club team, supporting children and young people with a disability to develop confidence, essential swimming and water safety skills, and a love of the water. Her calm and encouraging approach has made her a familiar face to many Orange families and an important part of the local Rainbow Club community.
As the only regional NSW representative on the Advisory Group, Shen will bring an important perspective to national discussions, ensuring regional communities are represented alongside metropolitan voices.
