Aqua fitness programs for Young Adults with a disability
READY FOR MY ACTIVE?
My Active Moves participants are young adults (aged 16-25) with physical, intellectual or sensory disabilities who love the water, are looking for improved health and wellbeing and who will benefit from a fun, social weekend activity.
Our aqua fitness programs are individually designed by our Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) to meet a participant’s personal goals. The program is then delivered in 45 minute sessions over a 9-week period by our qualified teachers under the advice of our EP. The My Active Moves programs can be delivered as a one to one or in small group sessions.
My Active Moves includes a combination of exercises and routines to assist increased water confidence and independence in addition to improving muscle strength and range of motion. It also includes opportunities for those who have goals around social engagement and independence to meet friends and have fun in the local community.
Register your interest to become part of My Active Moves. From there we’ll arrange to talk with you about the program and your personal goals.
